UoB AASS

About the society

The AASS (Atheist, Agnostic and Secular Society) is a University of Bristol society aiming to provide discussion of topical issues from atheist, agnostic and secular viewpoints, support for students interested in finding out more about them, and of course frequent socials.

We run a regular Tuesday evening meeting at The Colston Arms pub on St Michael's Hill (formerly Micawbers), usually starting at 8pm and including a round-table discussion. We also hold talks from academics and luminaries, from both secular and religious perspectives, and a variety of other activities including meetings with other societies, debates, socials, outings and anything else we can think of.

If you have an idea for an activity or talk, or have any other queries or suggestions please email the committee on committee@aass.org.uk with your thoughts or speak up in the forums. We are an inclusive and friendly society, and interested persons of all stripes are welcome to attend, so if you are interested please email us or come to our regular meeting.

For those who use facebook to arrange their affairs we have a facebook group (who doesn't!) and a forum, which contains the same events as this website and provides the usual idle chit-chat and pictures of cats. Join the group and we'll facebook invite you to upcoming events.
